In July, a few RCC team members attended the Minnesota Propane Association (MPA) Summer Convention. They took away some great insights, networked with a lot of people – new connections and old friends, and took in the information about the future that MPA had to offer.
Industry Insights and future plans
The convention was a resounding success, featuring an impressive lineup of speakers who provided valuable industry insights. Lyndon Rickards from PERC updated attendees on upcoming changes to education, while Ben Nussdorf from NPGA discussed the latest EPA regulations. Brad Box led a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) Analysis session, helping identify ways to strengthen the association.
One of the most exciting aspects of the convention was hearing about MPA’s plans to grow their footprint and bring in new ideas. There was also quite a buzz around the “Making Propane Sexy” campaign, which had our own Freddie literally jumping for joy!
networking and fun
The convention wasn’t all business, though. After the meetings, attendees had the opportunity to participate in various
networking activities. The annual golf game was a hit as always, but this year, MPA added a new option: sporting clays at Wild Acres Hunting Club. Some attendees also enjoyed boating activities.
These events provided an excellent chance for us to network and reconnect with old friends right here in our home state. It’s always energizing to see the propane community come together, share knowledge, and have some fun in the process. At RCC, we value these opportunities to stay connected with the industry and keep our finger on the pulse of the latest developments.
